![]() Cohen was selected to serve at the White House as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Executive Office of the President, Office of National Drug Control Policy, where he served as the senior Department of Justice representative on a team charged with developing an interagency national synchronization strategy to combat the synthetic opioid crisis. Cohen served in the Criminal Division’s Office of Enforcement Operations where he held several leadership positions, including as the Chief of Special Operations, Deputy Director of the Federal Witness Security Program, and Special Counsel to the Director. Cohen was named Director of the Department’s National Gang Targeting, Enforcement, and Coordination Center in 2007, where he managed Departmental anti-gang efforts and served as Co-Chair of the Deputy Attorney General’s National Gang Intelligence and Coordination Governing Boardįrom 2010 to 2018, Mr. Center for Strategic and International Studies (Russian Organized Crime. Cohen served for over two years as the Deputy Chief for Special Operations and Intelligence. In 2013 We partnered with two researchers to evaluate a pilot of the model. Cohen accepted an appointment to the Department’s Criminal Division, Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Section (NDDS), where he led NDDS efforts at the multi-agency Special Operations Division. Cohen is a career prosecutor with more than three decades of experience. ![]() OCDETF is the largest law enforcement task force in the Nation with 570 federal prosecutors, 1,500 federal agents, 19 Strike Forces, and 4,000 state and local police officers from over 1,000 departments working on over 5,300 criminal investigations. Department of Justice and is a centerpiece of the Attorney General’s strategy to combat transnational organized crime and to reduce the availability of illicit narcotics using a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach to investigation and enforcement.
